環境少女、大西洋横断へ
ヨットで温暖化対策訴え
【ロンドン共同】地球温暖化対策を訴える若者の世界的運動の火付け役となったスウェーデンの少女グレタ・トゥンベリさん（１６）は２９日、米国で９月に開かれる国連会合などに出席するため、８月に太陽光パネル付きのヨットで大西洋を横断すると発表した。
温室効果ガス排出量の多い飛行機での移動を普段から避けており、自らの行動で国際世論を喚起する。
トゥンベリさんは２９日、写真共有アプリ「インスタグラム」などでヨットでの渡航計画を報告。「朗報です！ 長く困難な旅路になったとしても、私たちの声を届けます」と意気込みを語った。

飛行機より環境負荷の少ない鉄道での移動を呼びかける運動。｢Flygskam｣というスウェーデン語の邦訳。国内での移動などに飛行機ではなく鉄道を利用することで温室効果ガスの排出量を削減し、地球温暖化を防ぐことを目的としている。同国の環境活動家グレタ･トゥーンベリが2018年に提唱し、欧州や米国で広がりを見せている。
